The White Cross

The Dukes Head

The White Horse

Best places to visit

The Terrace
The Terrace has the only English landscape view protected by an Act of Parliament. Famously reflected by the artist Turner with his panoramic views of the winding River Thames, and the pastoral meadows offered by this elevated position.

Richmond Green
Richmond Green is one of the few remaining landscapes linked to London’s medieval past. It has been a recreation ground since King Henry Vll used it for jousting tournaments, and today it’s used for the gentler sport of cricket.

Richmond Riverside
Richmond Riverside is a tranquil environment with beautiful walks and opportunities for boating. Taking a stroll along the 21 miles of riverside along the Thames Path is one of the great joys of London life.

Richmond Park
Richmond Park has 5,000 acres of celebrated parkland. The Royal Parks offer beautiful green spaces, right in the heart of the capital, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city. They’re a wonderful place to relax, unwind, exercise and clear your mind.

Royal Botanic Gardens
The Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew are a fascinating place to visit. Their origins can be traced back to the merging of the Royal Estates of Richmond and Kew in 1772. Today, this world-leading botanical research site is home to the largest living plant collection on earth.

Petersham Nurseries
An internationally prized garden centre, this is a tranquil oasis and seedbed of inspiration, carved out of the Petersham House grounds in the 1970s. It’s also home to the famed Petersham Nurseries Café, which offers a seasonal menu inspired by the kitchen garden.
